G-WOOD'S FLOORING WARRANTY

This warranty is limited to residential use of G-wood’s Flooring only.  This warranty is not transferrable.  Please be advised it is the responsibility of the installer and/or home owner to inspect the product prior to installation.  Planks which are damaged should be set aside and pictures taken of the damage. Pictures and the bill of sale to be supplied to G-wood Flooring Inc. within 48 hours of the date of purchase.  G-wood Flooring takes no responsibility for planks that are/were damaged without the pictures and the bill of sale.  G-Wood Flooring accepts no responsibility for costs of product or labour when planks with visible defects have been installed.


G-Wood Flooring warranty covers, at the time of sale, the flooring will be free from defects in material and manufacturing and conforms to G-Wood’s strict specifications for the product category, and when flooring is used to its specified purpose, our flooring will not deteriorate, separate, buckle or cup.


If your product fails for any of the above-noted reasons, G-Wood Flooring will replace or repair, at its option, a portion or all of the flooring at no cost to the original purchaser as long as the purchaser still owns the property where the flooring was installed.  G-Wood’s Flooring Warranty extends to flooring maintained in Normal Environmental conditions. (The heating and ventilation systems are maintained and the interior humidity levels are at a level between 30% and 50% with normal room temperatures between 15.5°C and 26.6°C (60°F and 80°F) year round).


Not covered with this warranty:

Colour:  Colour variations, mineral streaks and small knots are considered part of the natural character and beauty of wood flooring.These are not considered defects.  Color variations of G-Woods product or samples are a natural characteristic due to species, age, character of flooring and exposure to UV light or sunlight.  For these reasons, new and/or replacement flooring may not exactly match display samples and/or existing flooring.


Due to colour variations, G-Wood Flooring is not responsible for consumer matching to other wood products, such as cabinets, railings, trim and any existing mouldings.  Normal exposure to sunlight will bring about changes in the shading of any hardwood floor as it ages.  Area rugs should be moved occasionally as they block sunlight and may give the appearance of discolouring under the rug.


Minor scratches may be expected and are not quality issues.  Indentations or scratches caused by furniture, appliances, pet claws, spiked or damaged heels, pivot points, sand/pebbles or other abrasive materials are not covered under G-Woods Flooring warranty.


Improper installation/maintenance and failure to adhere to G-Wood Floorings installation/maintenance instructions.  Additionally, installation over radiant floor heating with a surface temperature in excess of 29.4°C (85°F).


Damage due to water and/or moisture including, but not limited to damage resulting from broken or leaking pipes, wet mopping, weather conditions or natural disasters are all excluded from G-Wood’s Flooring Warranty.


Insect infestations after the product leaves our facility.


Abuse, neglect, abnormal use, misuse of solvents, corrosives or other chemicals etc

Improper cleaning or maintenance


Squeaking or popping sounds on staples or nailed down products


Dimensional changes. Wood will naturally contract and expand in response to seasons and environmental conditions.  Seasonal gaping is to be expected and is not a manufacturer’s defect.

Not covered with this warranty: 

Colour aberration of the cabinet doors and/or side panels is expected to not exceed 15%.


Cracking: The cracking of the cabinets surface is to be expected due to the nature of wood. G-Wood Cabinets & Flooring will define as a quality issue only when the cracking area is more than 1/8 of the total cabinet's surface.


Grain: Our cabinets are made of natural solid wood and, as a result the grain of the cabinets, the density of the wood, and the consistency of the paint can vary from piece to piece.


Tolerance: Cabinets are expected to shrink, distort, crack, and/or bend in various circumstances due to the nature of wood products. G-Wood Cabinet's & Flooring will define it as a quality issue if cracks and/or bends are over 1/8".


Improper installation/maintenance and failure to adhere to G-Wood Cabinets & Flooring's installation and maintenance instructions.

G-Wood Cabinets & Flooring offers on-site measurements in order to ensure all the dimensions provided by the customer are right. If the customer waives this measuring service, G-Wood Cabinets & Flooring will not be responsible for any error it might incur, such as cabinets which don't fit, plumbing/wiring which impede. 


TERMS REGARDING INSTALLATION, DELIVERY, WARRANTY. . .

  1. If installation of your new product(s) is done by the G-Wood professionals, you will get a 10% discount on the labor as well as a full unlimited warranty as outlined previously.
  2. If installation of your new product(s) is done by someone other than G-Wood professionals, the warranty does decline to 75% of the term (your sales person will explain this to you!).  Additionally, shipping and handling charges on a “self-install” are 10¢ per square foot.
  3. Delivery costs are .10¢ per square foot and a delivery date can be agreed upon.
  4. If you, the customer, wish to cancel the installation and the delivery of your product(s) G-Wood Flooring must be notified within 14 hours of the booking the delivery date or the date of purchase.  If this 24 hour deadline is not met, the customer will be charged a 10% penalty fee.

Please note if you wish to cancel an order that has not left our warehouse, restocking fees will apply.

  1. G-Wood Flooring requires adequate free space in the residential home where the product(s) are being delivered, and if hallways or entrance ways are blocked, G-Wood Flooring will bring the product back to our warehouse on Cynthia. Street.
  2. An adult of legal age (18 years or over) must be at the delivery site in order to sign for the order and to check the order for accuracy.  This same adult will be responsible for directing delivery to the proper place.  If an adult is not present upon delivery, the delivery will be rescheduled and brought back to the warehouse and upon rescheduling the delivery, a delivery fee is charged.

If you are not available to accept delivery of your purchase(s) within 14 days of the delivery date originally planned, a storage fee of 10% will be charged.
